What are some of your "dumbest moments"?
Yesterday I washed my sheets and didn't realize my phone was on my bed. So my expensive phone got ran through the washing machine. Of course, it's broken. Had to use my warranty and they are going to overnight me a replacement. I had to pay a $99 deductible though. FML. I can't believe I did that. That was definitely my dumb moment of the year and now I'm out a decent chunk of change plus a phone for 2 days.

At the Casino, Texas hold 'em, won 3,000 and got greedy started playing all the cards and lost the 3,000... that felt bad.

Lol I have a similar story except I was working on my car and accidentally slammed the hood on my phone that I forgot I had placed there. Completely destroyed the screen and I only had it for maybe 3 weeks at that point. I felt so dumb after something like that lol so I know how it is. I didn't have warranty or any protection plan either so it really sucked.e_poison wrote:Yesterday I washed my sheets and didn't realize my phone was on my bed. Re: What are some of your "dumbest moments"?
I had a job as a skills trainer and they paired me with a preschool kid at a special ed elementary school class. The small group went to the library and I had been close to my kid all morning, mostly holding his hand. The children start looking at some dioramas and I got distracted for a minute, then waved him over to come to me and hold my hand. Something was wrong and I turned to look at my kid, and I had grabbed the hand of a different wee person who had a similar pattern on his long sleeve. At that exact moment, the second teacher who had just joined the class as a backup teacher, was looking at me and saw my entire thought process, from the question mark over my head when I felt something was wrong to the lightbulb when I realized what had happened.

I had collected a pile of cash, around $1200 - this was ten years ago when betting @ horse track was a thing - I read the daily paper & always have books, magazines, papers, around. Had a stack of recycle papers near the door. Cash was stored inside a folder, magazine size folder... For some reason, I "temporarily" tucked that folder under a paper in the recycling stack - Security By Obscurity, if you're familiar with that concept... Few days went by. Maybe 2 weeks? Punch Line, I never saw that cash again. Tore house apart searching... I must have tossed that stack in the Recycling Bin.

Re: What are some of your "dumbest moments"?
Okay, all of these stories give me the nerve to admit something I did that was not only really stupid, but something I knew I shouldn't be doing in the first place. I had my laptop on my lap and picked up a Diet Coke to take a swig. I might have gotten away with it if I'd been watching the Diet Coke instead of the screen but since I wasn't really paying attention to what I was doing, I knocked the Diet Coke over and straight onto my computer.
After giving the computer a few days to dry off packed in rice, I opened it up, since it still wouldn't boot up. Inside, it was caked with truly disgusting globs of food crumbs and cat hair, all glued together with Diet Coke. I'm surprised I didn't have an ant colony in there. Finally, I did what I should have done in the first place: I took it to the Apple Store. First, of course, I cleaned it meticulously so I wouldn't reveal myself as the computer abuser I apparently was. They confirmed my worst fears. My baby was a goner.
I spent 4 months saving for a new Mac and finally the new one arrived. What a fucking disappointment. I don't know what Apple did in the five years since I'd bought the first one but without going into all the boring details, this one requires a dependence on iCloud that the old one didn't. Sniff. I miss my old guy, even if half the keys were missing and it was stuffed with cat hair.

I end up touching my eye one way or the other. It sure does burn for a while, this year my bush is just rotting away with tons of peppers, i got carolina reapers and chocolate bhutluh , debating if i should make hot sauce or collect for seeds maybe for next year? but i prefer to spend money and buy 2 good shaped plants. So far thses 2 i been bringing them in for winter and in march they shoot their first leafs out and booms more crazy then the new once. If got plants want to save just get a bucket put them in with dirt soil, keep them inside over winter. There was many times i wanted to trow it away but i just clip the branches 70% or the once that look dead more, i put it outside in march/april or any hot early day, water them and just wait. they always took off like you have virgin mary above it or something blessing it.

Or better yet wear gloves even washing your hands with soap will not get rid of all the oils. You have to use dishwashing soap to get all the pepper oils off and it's absolutely horrible if you get it on sensitive places lol.Love_Redz wrote:One day I was cutting ghost peppers, and let’s just say wash your hands before you go piss, not a good time

I just turned 16 and finally got my drivers license! Now I'm just too cool! I landed a job
at the local gas station. One of my favorite teachers came in for an oil change and lube.
After lowering the rack I got in his pickup truck (NEW PICKUP TRUCK) to back out of the
garage. I started the vehicle and looked over my right shoulder to make sure no one was
behind me and started backing the vehicle out of the garage when I heard this thump,
crunch and the sound of twisting metal. I had forgotten to close the drivers side door!

Then there was this time....uh, never mind...

Re: What are some of your "dumbest moments"?
This was about time when i found out about kratom, i came to a friends house and was explaining how it works since they were in pain a lot. It was right before work time, his wife was cooking some pancakes. She was like these are all natural 100% organic ingredients. I am all about organic! I was running late and she was done with pancakes. But i didnt see her around to ask if i can have 2 pancakes. I needed to leave to work! i figured she was at the bathroom so i said "F**k It" i took 2 pancakes and swallowed it so fast on a way to the car to drive to work. Side note while i was showing her how kratom works, i took 3 grams green. So i am driving to work and from no where the music sounds so floaty so nice... i begin to feel my legs extremely relaxed. I was thinking, damn this is some good ass kratom!!!! And it got even more extreme to the point i noticed cars were afraid to bypass me. i was WTF why i am i swirling... ??? No way kratom cant be this strong.... WTF did i eat? umm 2 organic pancakes? Maybe thats why she never offered me any while cooking? ................
