TFH - Green Hangat Suma VSOP (IRCA-7)

Post by Zuvuya42 »

Dose: 2g
Taste: like cheap green tea
Mood: perky, productive, 6/10
Energy: intense and clean,10/10
Legs: short, 5/10
Analgesia: great for a green, 6/10
Head space focused AF, clear but warm, 9/10
Overall rating 8/10

Other notes: long come up, 45 minutes. Very pleasant but intense energy. I'm not a fan of energetic greens, in general, but this reminded me of a plantation maeng da, circa 2012. Does very little as a first burn of the day, but it's great as the 2nd or 3rd.

Great review. I noticed similar affect. Took it first thing in the A.M and was like “meh” the next day had it as my lunch time burn and was super impressed.

Exactly what I got from it! The first time I was a bit disappointed, but wOwzer, :o since then,
it's been exceptional! 8-) Energizing with a super nice mood-lift and very good pain relief!

I don’t know why TFH strains work this way with many users. Especially the 30year and deep jungle varieties. Not many effects first and second time out. But later on it fires on all cylinders.

Bottom line: don’t give up on that TFH you put away in your “dud” bin.

All of his strains seem slow to me, and I'm super sensitive to whites. This one's no exception. I can see, though, why he gave this one the name Hangat, as it definitely gives me a nice warm, "happy blanket" vibe. The "warm fuzzy" and optimistic feeling is all over this one. It also worked great on my pain, which is impressive for a "near white". (I recently had my ACL replaced). And all of his leaf takes me a good hour to fully feel it, which is also strange for me as most leaf kicks in within 15 minutes for me. So I have to be super careful with his because if I take more before the hour I can definitely get the wobbles.

Very happy with the VSOP! Very good all around mid. Just like others, it took 2 burns to hit

I thought that TFH strains were all particularly slow until I realized that I was taking too much with every dose , and I mean I really thought that I was t taking a lot , but I would say try taking much less than you normally do and see how it goes , I find most of his strains work way better at lower than normal dose size

Thats strange. Ive taken WAY too much TFH quite a few times (riding down the road trying to take a dose before i get to the job site, improperly fluffed from vacuum sealed state, etc.) and i have NEVER gotten the wobbles from it. No clue why, though. I can only assume its a reflection of either the quality of the leaf or the expertise of the blender.

Explain what you mean "improperly fluffed". Are you supposed to fluff a new kratom order before opening? I'm about to order this strain if it's still good.

TFH vacuum seals their bags, so the leaf can be a little chunky rather than "fluffy". It breaks up pretty quick though and becomes more of what we're all familiar with. It's pretty nice they take the extra step to vacuum seal.

Very cool. I suppose the shipping cost is worth it :) Any TFH strains you recommend for energy/mood/euphoria?

The current Get 'er Done Green (don't have the batch number handy) is very fast and potent with some moodlift. I also really like the Old School Green Horn. On it's own, it's mid-spec and very feelgood, I blend it with a little white or a faster green (like a 70-30 ratio) and like it even better that way. Afterburner Bali has excellent energy, moodlift and some pain relief and is great on its own or blended with something a little slower. And yes, the Green Hangat VSOP is prob a Top 10 TFH strain for me; lovely on its own with a little energy and all-around good feeling; I sometimes blend it with a little bit of a faster TFH White (like last year's White Horn), and it kicks serious ass.

If they still have 30 Year Wild Grn Kapuas, I think any of the batches they've had are very energetic. some that reviewed later batches said good mood. The one I got is all go go go- like crazy but it' blends well with slower stuff so it's adjustable and very reliable for energy. it's a thought.

... about the "fluff". If you absolutely have to eyeball your dose / no scale you gotta break up the clumps or you'll likely go way over. fyi- some of the more powdery, drier looking stuff - which I'd guess would be lighter - often is the opposite. Heavier because it doesn't "fluff" it' just settles flatter. Old Mystic Island stuff is all like that. Pale dull dry looking dust that I seriously love using in my blends bc it's so distinctly good.... and it always weighs more than it looks.
