MitraMan review (Summer, September batches)
Just wanting to pop in, maybe break up the monotony of reviews the last couple weeks with a trusted, consistent, constantly stocked vendor. MM has a pretty good sized menu, just below 'overwhelming' and is happy to answer questions or give insight about a products origin, speed, or point out past reviews. Very good dude (dudes? dudettes?) with mega-good leaf.
Gonna hit the last 2 orders I made.... Most servings are between 4.5 and 5.5g, at least 4+ hours b/t servings
1st order in August. Unsure about these same batch availability, but MM has noted that his farmers are able to get pretty consistent leaf between batches. YMMV and I'd ask about similarities or likenesses between batch.
White Elephant 8/10 On first burn, the White Elephant was a bit muddied....maybe stress, maybe tolerance, maybe life, but after two initial burns that left me wanting more from it, I tucked it away in the stash in hopes of revisiting. CUT TO about 3 weeks after this, I give it another go. Awesome. This is the way I want whites to work, and is the only White I have ever used that has provided what I would call euphoria (which most i get from greens/green-red stuff). I was so stoked that I immediately moved its spot and is now something I use pretty often in morning blends. Especially morning chores. Got an appointment or meeting or just need to get up early? The White Elephant makes that not only a breeze, but a pleasant breeze at that. I had asked in the MeWe group about this sudden change of effect and most people hadn't tried this one, but 1 person did say it felt quite similar to mine. Dud at first, but on try-try again mentality, it shone. This is the last 'White' i have ordered for a while. Curious if others have had White Elephant from MM before!
Red Horn 8.8/10 was probably the standout for me with this order. This order was pulled pretty much out of my ass as far as recommendations go, and I am glad to have gotten this. Seems like the usage of 'Red Horn' denotes some sense of potency or quality, as most batches named this I have tried seem pretty dang good. This feels very motivational for a red, and for me eats all the back pain that a long day on shitty hips can bring. I honestly don't like using this one that much because I so enjoy it on its own and do not want to sully its feel through blends. I can imagine this offering is consistently worth it. Mid-red spec. Light, warm. 3pm winner.
Green JK 8.2/10 Very 'basic' profile.....a great green. If you have had a green batch that feels all-around wholesome, fulfilling, pain-alleviating, mood bumping, this is the green JK from the summer. He has mention his Batak this time around matches the green JK from the summer, and the JK now is like the batak from summer. Same farmer. Whoever the farmer is for these greens is fucking killing it and should be able to have MM's business for a while. The JK and Bataks seem to be very commonly lauded in discussions. Blends with literally everything Literally. Everything. Clean even mid
Yellow MD 9/10 This is the only thing I ordered based on someone else's experience,...read about it here, actually, and was not disappointed in the slightest. I don't fuck around when I say its the best Yellow kratom ever. IDK if its a blend or oxidized but i dont really care because it works. It honestly worked so good that the bar for yellows thereafter was set to high. Ordering this caused me to want to try other yellows and unfortunately, MM sells the best version of that for me. No one has come close. I recommend it to everyone who asks what to order, because it is so nice. The best sort of mood-improving euphoric fuzzy glow. Its the closest thing I have felt to something illegal but in the best way. I keep my bag tucked and use it for special occasions or very 'bad brain' days. Not sedative but not energetic. Lower-mid
Red JongKong --- [ONE MORE BURN REQUIRED]
2nd order early October. Very pleased to see an upgrade in bags used. Love the new, stronger, better-closing dark dark green bags. Love it. MM had mentioned beginning adding batch numbers to products (some? all? unsure) but I think as his quality continues, or his stuff becomes more sought-after, the batch labeling would be an awesome addition albeit time-consuming. Overall a more informed ordering process. Very fast shipping/responses and even a follow-up e-mail regarding quality and happiness.
Green Batak (MWE) 9/10 Like said in the JK overview, same farmer as the green jongkong. The September menu update saw some exclusive additions that arent on the website menu. Not flaunting, just ordering what I thought was best. MeWe is free and can provide access to stuff like this : one of the best feeling greens I had all summer. SO glad i grabbed this while its available. Its a fizzy lifting drink for your brain sponge. This is basically what kratom should be across the board.
Yellow 5 8.8/10 After the Yellow MD, I knew I'd add a yellow or gold to my split. There was a few exclusive yellows for september, and I figured this one would be a great blind yellow. I think I maybe read a positive review of it while ordering and that may have effected my choice. All I know is, this is as good as the Yellow MD but a bit more body-heavy in the sense that it is a couch/movie/chilling feeling more than a stroll in a garden. Could be dose dependent, I can see 2.5 or 3 being very peppy. It comes in waves for me but I love to have my legs and feet sort of tingle or go 'heavy' from kratom. Usually only reds do this, so I'd guess this yellow is a green+bent blend. Masterfully done, if so. I wish this was on the menu full time. Dose dependent mid, can skew lower. Activity may increase speed. Kratom that goes....where you go.
Red Elephant 8/10 This was another lauded in-chat September menu addition. This is the heaviest red I have from MM and i think thats fine....any heavier would be maybe obfuscating to consumers who dont mesh with the heavy reds. Imagine it gets stronger and more sedative the higher your dose is. Tastes very neutral for something so strong (usually bitterness, for some, is an indicator). Not here. Havent played around much with blends with the RE but I bet a white or fast green would be awesome. Very potent. Very narcotic-level analgesic properties for those CPP or sore candle-makers. A don't miss if your stash needs rounded out with reds.
Red Mitra . [ONE MORE BURN REQUIRED FOR REVIEW]
Green 98 8.4/10 My first sample received from MM....love sample bags ! they match the new dark green. This is very similar to the Batak i got, very adjacent to euphoria. Lower rating due to a little less legs, but all of these burns squarely last at least 3 even hours and have very quick come-ons. This I really want a bigger bag of...its very very very nice. I havent had a green make me so chatty in a while, a great social anxiety squashing green. Would love to go to a bar or party with this... Strong mid
anyway, been a while since I've seen some MM discussion. Great stuff. Not had a dud yet. Looking forward to my next order already.....gotta see what those Golds have in store for me.....
I'll add the last 2 reviews when I try 'em again tomorrow.

Thanks Spookie for the reviews - I like the way you write, very entertaining and informative!
I agree on the Batak, a very nice green with lots of lift, also the SuperGreen is a very fresh tasting, mid spec mood lifter!
Totally on board for MitraMan adding Batch Numbers, I have mentioned it before and it would make ordering more precise

Great review! Appreciate you mixing up what we've been seeing in the reviews.
I've really been enjoying the Yellow MD and Red Elephant myself. You've got me intrigued in the Green 98 and Red Horn. I've had some amazing Red Horn from him the past.
I agree on your other points - his menu is the perfect size for me and customer service is top notch.

awesome review. I've been getting a feel for those I may have similar tastes with. and now I'm thinking of moving MM up to the top of my new vendors to try. joined their mewe a little while ago, but haven't spent any time in there yet. maybe the bf won't get too upset (he won't
lol) if I get a MM, rhino, and more denette and lucky orders? tmrw LOL. actually I'm the one who hates to spend money, but it's so hard to resist this awesome summer leaf we've been getting. plus we're working on stocking up tooo

Re: MitraMan review (Summer, September batches)
I did it. got the order in and now I'm second-guessing myself whether I should have went with the red horn... of course! when don't I second-guess myself after placing an order???
I think I'm good tho. we needed a slightly heavier red and we've got Lucky's red horn to enjoy... and we do.
question... does anyone know mitra man's name? it's weird having a vendor talked about a lot without hearing a name associated with them. guessing it's a guy??? lol
