Liza's Red Borneo

Post by Greyfeather »

I ordered a 4 split key of Liza's Reds 10 days ago. Her customer service and shipping times are second to none, but the pandemic is trying everyone's patience these days so I did not worry about slow deliveries.

Delivery came today and I couldn't open her Red Borneo fast enough (my anxiety is through the damn roof). She sent me a RB sample over a year ago and I wasn't ready for it. The pain relief was VERY good but the sedation was too much THEN.

After 11 months of horrible anxiety and sleeplessness I couldn't be happier for this Red Borneo now. I have always wondered what people meant by a "warm" red but now I get it. Or maybe it's because it's so freakin' cold right now. No. The warmth isn't just physical; it's everywhere - I can feel it in my "soul". The relaxation is AMAZING and pain relief is 8/10 (for some very stubborn pain). Muscle tightness and pain are gone. I think I'm going to need a kilo of this for the 'bad days' ;)

The leaf tastes very 'clean'. Plus, I love the taste of good kratom and this kratom tastes great: no bitterness at all. It's sweet-ish with some fruity notes (and not the over-ripe kind).

Liza's kratom is right up there in my Top.....THREE! I don't know how she keeps her product so consistent; I'm just grateful.

Thank you thank you and Happy New Year, Liza's Best Botanicals :D

And I'm going to sleep now. The Red Borneo is perfect for night-time (or relaxation in a smaller serving).
So don't over-do it.. Sweet Dreams!

Great Review, Greyfeather. You always seem to know what you're talking about especially on pain relief aspects of certain strains and various vendors. Just curious about what else you got in your split and if you have any recs on greens, golds, yellows or reds from Liza's. I hear her talked about alot on here but never any reviews so thanks.

Hi Dennis! Nice to meet you :D .

I haven't given the Red Hulu, Red Malay or Red Sunda a fair chance yet. As soon as I do I'll report in.

I only have two greens from Liza - Green Borneo and Green Malay. Both were mid-spec (somewhat lively) and good for pain. Unfortunately I have to take it easy with "greens" because I'm hyper AF and can't even drink "de-caf" coffee anymore  . So, imo, these two might be popular with folks who like a slower green. In fact, if I buy any more greens in the future I'd probably stick with Liza and Mitra-Man. His Green Malay is also pleasingly 'slow'.

If you want a very energetic Red, Liza's Red Maeng Da is the ticket. It really behaves more like a green, imo.

I have only had Yellows from TFH and they really are spectacular. VERY calming, so if you are interested in TFH, check back here often because I'm guessing another Open Event is approaching :D

Thanks for the Reply, Dennis and Happy New Year to ya!

Hi Ravenflow :D
Sorry I only now saw your question.

Yes!! This last batch of kratom tastes decidedly "earthy." In fact, the Red Malay tastes like dirt. I have been spoiled by SOSA and TFH. So now I have to remind myself of what some kratom used to taste like. When I first joined up here there were several topics about toss n' wash vs. other ways to prepare kratom. There are a great many people who detest the flavor and can only get the stuff down if the flavor is disguised. The reds I got this time around have that quality (not the Borneo, though).

I'm not really sure what to make of it. I only get reds. Is the taste a result of the particular drying process? Did I actually just buy the old Blue Tarp kratom? Is it really dirt?

I should probably write Liza and ask

Damn my old account has me locked out, maybe I forget the password but I spelled it similar to this. Some may remember me from the PF reviews

Liza's best botanicals is one of my favorites, I've used her Kratom for 4-5 years now and it's been consistently potent with most of her popular strains. My favs are:
Green Zombie, Super Green Elephant, Green Paragrin, Red House and Red Dayal

Her strains are way more palatable than many brands I've used over 12 years. They are definitely more earthy especially reds and her yellows, can't speak to the whites cuz I don't use them
