7ohm strain review - SGMD, RMD, G Ketapang
I recently received several samples of kratom from 7ohm. This is my third time trying this vendor, I also sampled his Elephant Green Malay - Hulu several weeks ago, that review can be found in this subforum. The owner was nice enough to ship out free samples to many people, and I'm writing this honest review as a way of showing appreciation. I'd like to have attached a picture to show the strain appearances, but the file was too big, and I'm using a phone.
Green Ketapang
Reported to be a fast strain, it is a slightly faded green with goldish tinge to it, to me it looks like a typical white vein. Upon burning, I would say it's more midspec for me, but leans more towards fast than slow. It's notable for mood lift primarily, but there is some mild euphoria and pain relief. Like the EGMH, the onset was rather slow, it eventually peaked at 1.5 hours in, so give this a little time to get going This would be a very helpful strain in those with depression. It lacked a low end, so for me I would prefer to mix this with 25% or so of a slower green or a red, to give it more of a full bodied burn. Those that are good with strictly stimulating effects would be pleased with this.
7/10
Red Maeng Da
This has a mildly fermented look to it, but it could feasibly just be sun tanned. I say fermented because it has that specific taste to it that brown strains usually have. Unfortunately I don't have much to say on this one, I tried it twice, once at a normal dose and once a larger one, and I barely received any effect from it. After both doses I felt compelled to take a different strain after. Full disclosure, I have almost never had a brown/fermented strain work for me, so I wouldn't count this one out solely based on this review.
3/10
Super Green Maeng Da
This is the prize of the pack, truly a standout. It has an attractive bright green color...I'm not sure if this is 2020 leaf or not, but it sure looks new. Unlike the Ketapang, this one could be felt almost right away. The onset was short, and I could feel a strong sense of euphoria not long after. It continued to ascend, finally at about an hour in it was at it's strongest, and it was strong indeed. I felt I could have easily lowered my dose by a couple grams and have been fine. This was a very slow, heavy, and sedating burn, I had trouble keeping my eyes open for awhile. Not the best for reading. The euphoria and pain relief is pronounced, and it has a full spec feel to it. Doesn't need to be in a blend at all, although I could see using like 10-20% white to offset the slowness. For me it's near perfect by itself, exactly what I look for in kratom. I deducted one half point because there wasn't much mood lift, but that's really the only thing it lacks.
9.5/10
I would definitely recommend the SGMD to anyone, and the Green Ketapang to those looking for upper mid greens.

I got a sample of white golden in my last order. Nice strong smooth white. 8.5/10 (could be higher but my tolerance is super high and I've only tried it once by itself)
I'm also enjoying the SG Maeng da alot as well as the green banana. The white golden and SGMD would probably blend well

Yeah next time I will cut the SGMD dosage in half, and add in a couple grams of something white if I'm taking it during the day. If at night then I really don't see how it could be improved. I have a high tolerance too and it still leveled me

Green banana is mid spec, good for afternoons. I've only dosed it a few times but so far a solid 8.5/10
Bumping the white golden to a 9/10, i like that one a lot

That white golden sounds awesome. What’s the full name of it?Madvillain626 wrote:Green banana is mid spec, good for afternoons. I've only dosed it a few times but so far a solid 8.5/10

The strain name is seriously just white golden lol
I was intrigued by the name so i got 50 grams. smooth euphoric white with long legs. Good for blending with reds or slow greens. I would cop a bag of this for sure.

Thanks for the review m8, mind if I ask, what was the serving size you had to reach that fire level effect?Playerpiano72 wrote:Yeah next time I will cut the SGMD dosage in half, and add in a couple grams of something white if I'm taking it during the day. White Golden is crazy good :
I had to make a second purchase of it . This seemed to have a really warm , friendly feel . To me it was brighter and smoother than most quality whites I’ve had . This felt like it had quite the 7ohm feel . Very analgesic, warm deep like relief . And I think Golden is a really on point name for this . The speed of this batch is like very mid , not sedating.
The white Gucci is also very good . But still getting a feel for it .
The RMD#7 is amazing for blending . I found this batch to relieve any over anxious feelings from strong upper spec batches . I’ve been blending it with many other strains and it seems to balance everything out really well.
