Trial: Theobromine from BulkSupplements.com for mood boost/stimulant action

If you read my posts, you know I am a big fan of guayusa for its mood boosting properties, a lot of which is due to theobromine. I brew about 12oz at a time with 3 teaspoons of guayusa, it makes for two mugs full of ice and tea in a few minutes.

Now I want to try some powder, looking at dose amounts, purchased from bulksupplements.com via amazon.

Thanks for the heads-up, and I'm mentally bookmarking that info. I use that company for some of my supplements, but my kitchen table is so loaded down with bags of this and that that I'll have to wait a while, and use up one or more of those items, before I can justify to myself adding in something new. Lol, I occasionally uncover a bag that I forgot that I even had.

My theobromine powder arrived today; I took 200mg (0.25g) since I had a little guayusa this morning. Recommended serving size on the package is 250mg. Guayusa has 0.008-0.025% theobromine per g.

Have tried the theobromine at up to 500mg with little result. Works best with caffeine, but very minor improvement. Do not recommend so far.

Tried a 1g dose several times on separate days. (Max recommended by bulksupplements is 500mg/day.)

Combined with strong coffee, there is a slight mood boost and positive but mild stimulant effect.

Some research points to 250-500mg as being the best dose range w/out negative effects.

Do not recommend as effect is minimal.

Thank you for reviewing this. I just checked, and the reviews at Amazon confirm what you indicate about dosage sizes, one poster emphasizing "MORE IS NOT BETTER". I'm also getting the impression that even those who like it feel a need to cycle it, on top of their complying with finicky dosing requirements.

I guess put it aside, and try it again another day?

I am thinking of using it periodically for no special reason just to use some of it up, and the mild boost is better than nothing, lol. The caffeine seems to synergize well with it; it's just a tame substance.

I already pee a lot and probably have some kind of kidney issue

but theobromine really kicks my pee-game into first gear. I really like it but I can't handle the peeing lol. I feel like I'm drinking beers.
