Desperately Seeking Kelleytoons

I have his address and was thinking of writing a quick note to see if he's ok and send him something i promised (not "promised" per-se, but i said i would send) him a while back. Has anyone heard from him or corresponded with him since a month ago today?

See! This is the fucking problem with this whole medium. We should all have each others phone number for situations just like this. Or hippie should have them. We had been in talks for awhile, but he hasn't responded to my msgs since a month ago.

He was dealing with family issues which I'm not privy to, but he just dropped of the radar.

Hope and pray for him and his fam, esp. his loving wife.

I was living overseas for the year of Woodstock but my friends went and my sweet innocent mother took my girlfriends to the store to buy sleeping bags etc. She thought it lovely they were going camping. We were all 14 or 15.
I miss Kelley too.

Last time I spoke with him he was talking about how he wanted to experiment with microdosing Amanita Muscaria and he was talking about getting some from the red stripe place, I forgot the name, and I have ordered AM from them but I haven't eaten them. They are decor at present, trying to cover up this ugly picture :

I had told him I had a few doses left of some others from microdosing and I would send them to him. .125 g, I think six "bindles" ( h²) and some Japanese ones that are super obscure this really cool guy at work gave me that he grew last year. I'm over it. It stopped working for me. He showed interest and his interest was to use them to understand and appreciate his wife more. How could I say no to that? Haha! I offered anyway, he would certainly never ask.

He is a great guy, as I'm sure you all know.

I did send out that brief letter to Mr. Toons, but I think I dated it 5/2/24 instead of 4/18. Or at least I dated something 5/2, I know I got it mixed up from looking at my parents' calendar. Oh well, I hope it does not cause further confusion.

Sorry to hear about Kelley and Ms Toons, I had a thought about him the other day... does anyone recall, he acquired a Source Turbo extraction thingy back when he first arrived here on Double Em. Well I was just re-visiting that - and wondered about Kelley and his progress, if any ? Kind of assume he decided not to mess with it ? How many of us are in a similar situation? I'm mid 40s, live with both my parents, who are currently in good health, though my dad had a heart attack awhile ago. When their health starts failing, I'll be here for them like my mom was for her mom; but will need someone to help with my mom.

Okay, now I feel TERRIBLE - but extremely touched by all the love.

But terrible because I should not have let it go this long. So here's the TL:DR story: yes, my wife is/was having major health issues (mostly due to a terrible bone infection after her SECOND back surgery). A week ago she had a major, major back surgery to try and repair all this mess and is now home and, of course, I'm her primary caregiver (and if any of you have been in that situation you know what a full time job that can be). But we're getting there, I have great hopes she is on the mend, even if it will take six months to a year for her to get back to where she was.

And, yes, Eric did contact me direct and I told him to pass on some info here (and thanks, Mr. D). I also got the very nice card from Mike Chang (sp?) and all is appreciated.

I will now try and be back on media for a bit - still not completely out of the woods but we'll get there. The one thing I can say that will bring this back OT here is that kratom GREATLY helped during these times. Mellowed me out (you cannot believe how much of a nervous wreck I was when she went in for this third surgery which basically involved them reinforcing her entire spine). She is my world, the only reason I continue to want to remain on this planet, and without her I'm nothing at all.

Again, thanks much all. I know I still have a few loose ends to tie up (some PMs I need to address, some capsules I need to send) and I promise I will get around to it.

(And I don't know if email addresses are available here, but mine is mike at kelleytown dot com and I'm always up to talking - one of the things I did NOT let go was responding to emails, or I never would have gotten caught up).

So nice to hear from you even if the news was not all rainbows and unicorns. My husband is recuperating from osteomyelitis (the bone infection your wife had) of the right index finger which popped up out of seemingly nowhere. He was in hospital literally 2 hours from finger amputation when infectious disease suddenly changed course and said antibiotics alone might do it. It was nerve wracking. The distal bone in his finger, however, is gone ( GONE!) so not sure how THAT is going to work! And he was hoarding kratom in the hospital. I brought new packets daily and hospital staff was baffled he kept turning down their pain killers (ah..little did they know, we have something much less insidious that works quite well!)
I remember saying to him, my life doesn't work without you. Do not die!
Be well, friend. Wishing your wife a refuah shlema (complete recovery).

Really glad to hear from you, much hope and positive expectations for your wonderful life partner (if you feel down, remember that you got the one you wanted, and she was better than you had hoped!)

It's totally within reason and possibility to recover from a serious setback (like a broken tibia and fibula in both legs and a deep penetrating knife wound) with a good attitute and loving help (you!).

LOL - yes, I am definitely a legend in my own mind.

But we still need all the prayers we can get. Now that she's started her (very strong) antibiotics (to make sure she doesn't get ANOTHER bone infection) they are hitting her hard. It's just unfair - someone our primary care doctor said about her - that someone so sweet and wonderful has to go through all of this, while those of us who are pessimistic and dour don't have to. Except because she IS my entire world it hits me very hard, too. And Kratom DEFINITELY keeps things looking better (off now to dose to cheer me up :>).
