What's everyone getting into this Halloween? I'm probably just gonna take it easy and have a horror movie marathon.
I do miss being in my 20s going to Halloween parties every year, but these days I'm too old and tired for that kind of thing. So, horror movie marathon it is!
I'm too old to care anymore. My wife and I are currently on our way back from Knoxville, so I'm certain that we won't be doing anything later except loving on our animals who we've missed.
I may setup that projector I mentioned and watch Pumpkin Head or some MST3K horror movie episode.
I also sometimes miss being young enough to care about dressing up and going out, but now that I'm married and no longer drink... it's just another day. We don't even really have kids in our neighborhood to give candy anyway. Meh.
I have everyone beat (maybe). Me and the fiancè are going to see a 'live to film' performance of The Nightmare Before Christmas. Danny Elfman and Billie Eilish as Jack and Sally. Werid Al and Pee Wee Herman as characters too. A live orchestra too.

I hid from the trick or treaters this year, like I do most years actually lol. They had it in my neighborhood from 5:30pm to 7:30pm tonight. So I turned off all my lights and went down to my finished basement office to play some video games.
I've never really done the giving away candy trick or treating thing. Maybe one year I will. I'm a scrooge I guess.

Your interest inspired me to actually try and care about some nice video and photos of this fantastic show. These people went all out, it was Halloween night for goodness sake! It was a glorious spectacle to witness. Creativity and high budget ideas abound; it was almost like a fairy tale. However, it will remain mostly in my memories for my acting like an asshole.
Alas... it did NOT work out that way but I do have a brand new cell coming in the mail. The pics were fucking shit!! My phone basically went kaput that night.
Here is what I could share that was worthwhile. It was a lot of fun! When the show was over and all of the bows were taken, Elfman played a long, rocking version of Dead Mans Party. Tons of energy on and off stage. Everyone wanted to be there, the actors. musicians too. The air was thick with palpable excitement from rabid fans screaming their favorite parts.
