Kratom + Allergy Meds

HI guys,

I tried searching but came up empty on this one... I just found out I'm basically allergic to the entire world. Plants, grass, even my dogs. I've been having some breathing issues and turns out, this is why.

I was prescribed Singulair and Xyzal. Are these safe to take with Kratom? I'm supposed to take them before bed, which is 3 - 3.5 hours after my last Kratom dose. I also usually drink Kava about 2.5 hours prior to when I would be taking this medication. Am I safe to take them? I have searched around with mixed results and tbh I am scared to take these. Any info you have would be really helpful!

Sorry about your allergy problems, I'm also allergic to a lot of things, I think kratom helps with congestion. I don't take allergy meds anymore but it sounds like they're spaced out enough where it shouldn't be a problem but as you know it hasn't been tested against many things for interactions and everyone's different and even doctors don't really know...maybe someone here takes those meds though. I do take prednisone and xanax without issues and kratom daily. I had a slight allergic reaction to kava though a very long time ago but when I tried it more recently had no effects at all.

I took Claritin with kratom for years, no issues. I also used an inhaler called Qvar for a while. Not sure about taking kratom with the medications you're prescribed.

Kratom, unfortunately, has been poorly studied as a drug because it costs a lot of bucks to do a complete analysis of safety & interactions. That's something Pharmaceutical companies do because the government forces them to, but kratom doesn't make $ for the Pharmaceutical companies, hence no information on interactions.

I did check out both medications to look for potential interactions with other meds that a kratom user might take. Don't take any cannabis products while taking these allergy meds & don't take any tranquilizers in the benzodiazepine class like Valium, Klonopin, Lorazopam, etc.

Hmmmmm why no cannabis? I take CBD very regularly as well as sometimes vape Delta 8 before bed to help with sleep. What is the interaction there? I was trying to find info on this as well, but all I came up with is it can enhance the drowsiness too much.

I take kratom and antihistamines daily it's a great combo imo. Potentiates and gets rid of a lot of side effects like nausea and dizziness. Just be sure to supplement choline regularly as anti histamines are anticholinergic drugs. My fav ones are hydroxyzine and unisom.
