Colonoscopy prep, stop kratom or not?

I depend on kratom daily...about 18gpd for acute pain. I have a colonoscopy Monday at 8am. I take mine with warm water and powder. Anybody have experience with this?

Had one in august and I stopped when i began the day prior prep and was fine. Not much help if ur looking to take it right up to bed time but fyi.

If I were in your position, I would prepare my Kratom in tea form the day before. Figuring out the right amount is kind of tricky vs dry powder, but usually you want to try 1.3x to 1.6x the normal amount

I don't have a tea "press" machine. Here is method at Kat's. Would this do...

Directions
Place water in the saucepan and heat until hot, but not boiling.
Squeeze the juice of the lemon into the water, then add your dose of Kratom powder.
Stir vigorously until the Kratom powder is distributed evenly. Simmer for 15 minutes.
Place a strainer or coffee filter over your cup and pour in the tea. This collects powder residue that did not dissolve.
Stir in your choice of sweetener. Drink immediately.

I could do that possibly and have clear colonoscopy. It has to CLEAR! Geez.... They also don't allow you have THC the day before. I cancelled a previous one because of that. Controlling the level of pain I have takes micro dosing THC throughout the day.

When I had mine I bought a few liquid extract bottles to sip on while I was prepping. Good luck

Me too. And my doc let me skip the anesthesia, stay awake, and watch it on the screen. Clean as a whistle!

ALL depends on your ability to Prep and totally clear the bowels... Water clear... where you drink a Gatorade and you poop clear liquid ONLY...

Happened to me!! You arrive for your Appointment. They check your Prep ( You sit on toilet and squirt, they look at it~!) and... you're Sent Home! "Sorry but you didn't Prep correctly"... I was advised to do Emergency Prep = Drink a full bottle of Mirilax and chase down with full bottle of Gatorade - that worked and I was able to re-schedule same day... I was lucky... Having to wait a whole DAY, overnight, in that condition... would have been pure HELL.

I did my first a few weeks ago.
I was probably a little more careful because I’m younger than recommended age for screening and therefore, not covered by insurance. So the fear of having to pay for another procedure and experience the hell of doing the prep twice was too great for me to risk normal dosing.

I took about 4 grams at 11am the morning before my procedure and also before I began the prep. I did not dose any further until I was home and that worked for me. Also, the prep was unpleasant but not as hellish as I’d imagined. Good luck!

I got to the office and was asked if my discharge was yellow and I could see the bottom of the toilet. I said yes, almost. BANG! We can't do it if your not clear she says. You have to prep again today for 24 hours, AGAIN. Nope I said. I will tell the doctor. Doctor comes in. Explains all the problems that could occur. I say. do the best you can then. If it is a no go...OK. I will schedule another one sometime. He says Ok, we'll try.
No problems, and I am in good shape.

Maybe there was residue from the past days, because I drank tea the day of...IDK...who cares, it's over. Maybe the prep itself will fix the diarrhea problem.

I had one this past month as part of a double with an endoscopy. Never enough I would at 35, but here we are.

Anyways, I got a bottle of extract and poured little tiny drops into Coke Zero or another drink the day before, although I think I didn’t take enough as I don’t feel great. I’m hesitant to ever use extract, but this was enough to get the bad feelings away.

By 11PM the night before is stopped everything, though my procedure was at 8AM, 7AM arrival.

I also worried about not being clear, but doctor said I had “excellent prep”. That stuff will clear you out…

That said, I was fine. Any type of extract tincture/shot or tea will be the best way to fo. You just don’t want to ingest the powder.

The worst part is the f’ing prep, and I’m not just talking about the effects. The taste of that stuff is from Satan himself. Thought I was gonna throw it all up and have to redo it.

Good luck, you’ll be fine. I’m a baby when it comes to taste, yet I love the taste of kratom…
