DG Botanicals strain reviews

I've been using DG Botanicals exclusively for over 6 months. Their leaf is so strong I thought they might have been mixing it with extract, it's just plain leaf, it is significantly stronger than anything else I've ever had.

* PMD - 7/10 very fast with long legs
* Super Green Malay - 9/10 very strong green all around great
* Premium Bali - 9.9/10 very strong long legs relaxing my favorite strain feels like a green/red mix
* Premium Green - 9.5/10 fantastic green very strong relaxing long legs
*Super red MD - 8.5/10 very good red
* Super red Indonesian - 8/10 solid red
* Premium white - 7.5/10 very nice white strain well rounded
* Red MD - 8/10 classic red very good pain relief
* Green Malay - 8.8/10 great strain long legs powerful mood boost
* Green Borneo 8/10 very relaxing chill green
* Super Red vein Borneo 9/10 great red great pain relief superior relaxation
* White Horn 8/10 very mellow white with a powerful mood boost
* White Thai 8.5/10 fastest strain he has very nice
* Red Kali 5/10 very mild didn't do much for me
* Premium Red 4/10 did nothing for me
* Yellow MD 4/10 did nothing

Also DG Botanicals has fast shipping, I get my order in two days. The customer service is fantastic he answers my emails usually within an hour of sending them.

Hi there Fart Blaster, well you can't have it both ways.. Either it IS mixed with extract.. (and then it IS stronger than plain leaf!) OR... it's plain leaf like other vendors sell - in which case, it's not really stronger, he gets some good batches. Other vendors also get strong batches.

First, DG Botanicals does not make the product. He's just a middle man. The product IS made in Indonesia by a "secret source" who may/ or may not, be adding secret sauce to the blend... You know all kratom IS a blended product?

Lets say I'm an American vendor. I wanna find the strongest stuff in all Indonesia. I put the WORD out: "I will PAY $ for the strongest stuff!!"

The Key being PAY $ - I'm posting a Bounty. What do you think I will get? Among all the Indo dudes who manufacture extracts, resins, legal or not, whatever.. Yes. They DO make very strong extract. The Indo's in fact, can make it from fresh leaf... The Indo's DO make "enhanced" powder mixed with fresh extract. Of course, that's their business, making & selling kratom products!

So, In response to my Bounty, I get contacted by dozens of Indo's. A few of them have amazingly STRONG powder. It's usually a dark greenish color, but not really fermented. But super strong!! OK... what's IN the powder?

The answer IS - who cares? Right, All consumers care about, is that it's strong... All a vendor cares about, is selling a good product, for your money. Getting $360 a Kilo, FIVE times as much as other vendors. Same with the Indo.. all he cares about is the $ and, in fact, he's getting MORE $ per Kilo in exchange for producing "strong" powder.

Back to DG, is anyone testing his powder? NO? Fine, then he can claim its plain leaf.. He has NO knowledge of any enhancing, or blending.. He has no reason to question that. His customers.. don't question that. No Questions Asked.

That's how the kratom business works! IN fact... that's how the head-shop business works too. That bottle of O.P.M.S. is always a Proprietary Blend!

I been taking DG botanicals stuff for about 3 years now. Few times I questioned if his stuff was enhanced or had extract in it threw emails . He assured me that in no way is his stuff tampered with . So I decided to see how it would feel to quit his Kratom. Withdrawal from his Kratom felt like regular Kratom withdrawals. Wasn’t to bad, but wasn’t fun. I have witbdrawled from extract or enhanced stuff and let me tell you that was a very bad time for me. Felt like coming off my old oxycodone habit . But I wish there was somebody to test his stuff because it honestly some of the most potent Kratom I ever had and some of his batches are always consistent and potent .

I didn't know wd from extract was that bad. I never had extract before but was thinking of trying the pure alkaloid from Caleb. Maybe I shouldn't?
I think DG would not put extract himself or look the other way and sell a product with it because of the way he answered my emails about it. He seems to take an anti extract stance on dealing this shit.

No I agree DG is not adding or mixing or blending ANY kratom - He does not sell silly 'vendor blends' like the guys on Facebook lol - But... DG always claims he's found a few 'small farmers' so... Logically I guess what he's saying, the so-called 'Farmer' is growing a magic tree on his property or ?? I mean.. c'mon.

FOR one thing, kratom is not a farm crop.. It's not planted & harvested like corn.. there are plantations yes but those are young trees, its historically been a wild harvested product. This whole 'Small Farmer' story by DG.. sorry.. DG does admit, he offered to pay a Bounty $ and then PAID that offer $, to the Indo's who gave him the strongest powder No Questions Asked. Money $ Talks in Indonesia, and some Indo's are very good at making extract.

Of course, we don't know WHAT kind of $ DG is paying, for his super Premiums... BUT we do know, he sells it for $360 a Kilo

Of course. And how, exactly, can DG make those "assurances" when he's not there to see the product made? Please... again, nobody cares. He's got his plausible deniability. Case Closed! Lab Testing his stuff, would be expensive, but he's getting $360 a kilo.. Has he ever, once, produced a Lab Test showing Mitra % even?

Really we'd need a trusted Third Party to run a project, comparing various leaf with a standardized Lab Test... ain't gonna happen.

Remember, Dr. McCurdy has done studies, showing Alkaloid % is the SAME across different 'strains' etc but in limited scope... I'm pretty sure nobody has done any heavy-duty, product comparison, multiple vendors, type of thing... maybe in the future. Right now it's the Wild West out there

Damn it is 360 a kilo I never ran those numbers I usually just grab a $7 bag to try it out. Whatever he's doing is awesome because the product is very good. I'm OK with his prices, his regular stuff is almost as good as premium

Hey ballzdeep, who is doctor McCurdy? I don't care what % mitra it has, it's consistently good herb. Consistently good herb is worth a little more but probably not worth 360 a kilo. But spending more to try a little of the premium stuff doesn't bother me, I wouldn't buy a kilo.

I really don't see how it could be an extract since I've been able to cut back on dosage and get awesome effects from other vendors kratom. I would be suspicious if I was experiencing withdrawals or not getting anything from other companies, but that's just not the case. Went from 6 gram doses to 3 gram doses with better effects over the course of 6 months. So unless he's got a magic extract that increases effects and decreases tolerance to kratom, then I'd say he just buys mature and well cultivated leaf.

Also I've only been crazy about his regular kratom, not the premium, which is 150 per kilo. So for me to spend an extra 13 dollars per quarter kilo to decrease my odds of getting not so great kratom by at least 50 percent is worth it.

There’s no extract in dg’s leaf. It’s the same stuff every other vendor sells. Just more expensive. Also, I’ve had lots of extract. From multiple vendors and I made my own. I took it daily to twice a day - half a gram to a gram added to my usual dose - and it didn’t cause withdrawals at all when I stopped. I also stopped and lowered my usual dose and it didn’t change anything. I don’t think it does much tbh. Not for me anyway.

I think so also, when I first tried DG , it was significantly stronger than anything else I had had before. It hit harder and lasted longer.

I liked the red Borneo enough to buy a quarter, but the Red Borneo from Kratom Trading Company is far superior. None of the other basic strains I tried were good enough for me to order. I picked up a quarter of Bali 24 blind though as well. It was average. I didn’t sample all the basic strains - just a handful. Mostly sampled premiums, and found a few worth buying more of. Premium Bali was the standout for me, but I’m sure it’s different now.

Last time I checked the Deep Jungle Red was sold out. I hate that I didn’t get a quarter of it - it was a very good red. I second all of FireK’s recommendations- and to me, the regular Red Indo may be the best strain he has right now.

DG sent me a sample of maeng da- this was great really smooth like a green and finished like a red relaxing with great pain relief 8/10

His current super red indo, pmd, premium green and yellow md is awesome. A lot of his other strains are solid, but these stand out to me. His classic Md is usually my fav. But for some reason for me his classic #4 isn’t hitting the spot like the previous versions. It’s good but doesn’t have the “oomph” as the 2 or 3. Anxiously waiting for the #5.

I got a few strains from DG a few days ago, they were all great. I heard alot of good things about red indo.
*Red indo* 9/10 very strong, had that warm fuzzy feeling obliterates pain
*Deep Jungle Red* 8/10 this one was great for pain and the most relaxing Kratom Ive ever had.
*Green indo* 7/10 this one was a nice green it was good but not spectacular
*Green horn* 8/10 this was a fantastic green I should have gotten more of. It was a slow green with strong pain relief.

After some time I believe the the deep jungle red is something special a 9.5/10. It's fantastic, also the red indo is more like 7.5-8/10

I got an ounce of the DJR back in mid-June along with a bunch of other strains. The DJR was one of the last strains I tried from that order and of course, I loved it. I went to reorder the night I tried it and it was out of stock. When you said you ordered some a week or so ago, I emailed them and they had it back in stock so I ordered a quarter. I will say that I think the restock is even better. I’ve had both in pretty close proximity to each other and the latest seems better to me. Just wondering- are they saying it’s the same batch??

I loved the Super Red Indo and Reg Red Indo. The other premiums I thought were very good were Super Red MD, Super Red Vein Borneo, Premium Bali, Premium Green, and Plantation Thai.
Regs I liked were Red Thai, Green Indo, Green Kali, Yellow MD, and White Bali. The Bali 25 was ok as well.

I think the current batch is largely sold through, but here are my notes-

Super Red MD 5/14
3.5g | Great for PM. Relaxing, pain killer. Low spec, moderate+ strength. 7.5/10.
6g | Really good medicine at this higher dose. Strong, sedative, anxiolytic, and analgesic.
Very well balanced. Apparently no ceiling on this one, which is atypical for kratom in general. I’ve stacked as high as 15g over two hours and it was effective on acute, breakthrough pain, without any hint of wobbles. 9.5/10. Near perfect for me, and only docked a half point because it loses some effectiveness over time.

Plantation White Thai 6/1
2g | Great mood lift. Upper mid. Good energy and potency, even at this mid-day low dose. 8/10.
4g | Fantastic day dose. Tempered energy. Great uplift without the dirty speed. Love this. Buy.

Super Red Kali 6/1
2g | Upper mid. Nice clear headed mood lift and good analgesia. Good effects even at lower dose. 7.5/10.

Super Red Borneo 6/1
5g | Mid-low like the SRMD. Another great one for nighttime. Nod level sedation, great analgesic. Clean and Potent. 8/10. Buy.

Super Red Indo 5/14
3g | Nice mid spec mood lift. Moderate strength, not overly stimulating or sedative. Holds middle well for a few hours before finally giving way to grogginess. Good transition dose for late afternoon to evening. 7/10.
6g | Love this one for nighttime. Relaxing and heavily sedative. Great pain killer and anxiolytic. 8/10 Buy.

Super Green Malay 6/1
2g | mid low spec. Groggy. Good potency, but missing the clarity for daytime use. Decent analgesic and great length - about 4 hours. Good quality, and probably a good choice for night, but the reds are the better pm strains in this group. 7/10.

PMD 15 6/1
2.5g | mid spec - slow to come up, long lasting. Never hit really hard.
3g | Second try was much better at first dose of day. Potent, upper-mid during onset, turning much slower after 2-3 hours. Qualitatively excellent, but withholding score only because I don’t have utility for such drastic changing speed during the daytime.

Prem Green 6/1
2.5g | Great mood lift, euphoric. Leans mid upper mid and settles mid low. Moderate strength. A bit slower than the whites in this lot. Long. Turns groggy as it drags out.

Prem White 6/1
2g | Clean, mild, clear headed lift. Pulls the grog off the long prem green and prem bali. Really good. Very similar to last batch of Premium White. Tried twice with consistent results. 8/10. Buy.

Classic MD4 6/1
Lower mid. Moderate potency. Affects mood more than body. Good quality. Wasn’t a standout for me. 6.5/10.

Prem Bali 6/1
4g |Nice mid, starts leaning upper mid, settling into lower mid with long duration. Average strength, slow, long legs. Leaves me groggy like the SGM and prem green. Not a good choice if you need to be alert. The greens in this release have been slow for me across the board.

Prem Red 6/1
4g | Moderate strength. Mid slow. Sedative, but not much analgesia. Prefer the SRMD for nighttime. Good.

Regulars:
White Bali 6/1 average.

White Borneo 6/1 average strength, clear, uplifting .

White Kali 6/1 average strength w pleasant, smooth pick-up. Clear uplifting upper-mid. Good quality for the regs.

Deep Jungle Red 6/1
6g | Relaxing, warm, analgesic. Mid strength, requires higher dose, but does the job well if you dose heavy. 7/10.

Red Indo 6/1 average.

Red Thai and Yellow MD both sampled very well.

Also what strains do u recommend? I'm a red and green strain type guy. I like strains that give u a good feeling of euphoria or mood lift.

[email protected] to order until his website is back up and running....you will have to register to become a member......I would try out a few of each reds and greens in 15g or ounce quantities to see what works for you and I think the above post with the reviews is very helpful....ive liked red indo, green indo, SG malay, prem green, prem white, DJR, YMD. The super red indo I really liked but think it is sold out now....the super RMD is very good as stated above. Good luck!

very odd. I asked him the same thing a week ago, and he told me it was supposed to be finished 2 weeks before that, didn't ask why and he didn't say.
Seems to me it's in the hands of whoever is building the website, or the website host. Who knows, but it is very odd.

DG = like i said about SLO, you guys should as well post your lab test results on here. That way everything is on the up and up. You have to do it anyways so might as well get it done and show the community your results.

Doesn't need lab results dude DG has a group of testers that ensures good quality Kratom. You can get lab results of some other Kratom and still be stuck with mediocre strains the way DG does it ensures higher quality product.
