*SOULTANIC GREENERY* ULTIMATE REVIEWS/RATINGS THREAD

Post by Theanine »

This will be a work in progress, please feel free to add your own reviews, but please follow the rating pattern.

Code: Select all

LEGEND:

1). POTENCY: 10 being the absolute best Kratom which can be obtained, and 1 being the worst.

2). SPEED: SLOW, MEDIUM-SLOW, MEDIUM, MEDIUM-FAST and FAST.
_______________________________________________________________________________________________________

First up, my long time favorite, Dark Green Pinoh (08/2019), a Soultanic small batch exclusive:
RATING: 9/MEDIUM-FAST

This harvest variety is sourced from the decades old wild trees of the West Kalimantan, Indonesia and as such has a very limited circulation. It produces a very warm and fuzzy euphoria that the best Kratom is sought after and known for. This batch appears to be MUCH faster than the previous one which makes it a perfect daytime strain. Also, the potency is out of this world, I only need 3 grams instead of my usual 5!

Ideal for: general fatigue and depression.
2) Green Maeng Da (08/2019):
RATING: 8/MEDIUM

This batch of the Horned Thai leaf variety is very euphoric and somewhat fast, as expected. It is incredibly potent, as Soultanic fare tends to be. Surprisingly, it is a bit slower that the DGP, but nearly as euphoric and uplifting. This is definitely a morning strain, but can be taken in the afternoon as well. It is very balanced and smooth, but can be edgy at larger doses. Highly recommended.

Ideal for: anxiety and depression.

2). STRESS TEST: Higher doses are taken to determine if the leaf triggers jitteriness and wobbles.

The stress test insinuates a significantly higher amount of Kratom than any given person's "normal dose". MY normal dose is 4 to 5 grams, I have attempted this strain at 7.5 grams without any ill effects. Usually, it is a two fold factor. What happens when you take TWICE your normal dose? With balanced Kratom, nothing bad. With unbalanced Kratom, wobbles and jitters.

I take a much higher dose than my normal dose to see how far I can push any given strain -- stress test.

Good info...
I don’t think I would ever take double my normal dose, as high as it is. I sometimes try 9.5 but have never had significant results from anything over that.
There is a somewhat popular view that anything over 8 will provide for too many antagonist alkaloids, and my experience seems to confirm that, +/- about a gram, I think.
Bottom line: my stress test is much closer to my normal dose for significant effectiveness.

I do aspire to the adage that ‘less is more’ when it comes to Kratom.. and am hoping the future will bring significant effects at around half my current dose.
Getting there is the trick...

Indeed, with Kratom, more is not better. When I refer to the "stress test", it is just an academic term to see how far something can be taken. This is by no means to say that anyone should attempt to take higher doses than necessary. I take it upon myself with full knowledge of the potential consequences. Other reviewers ought not use that criterion if they are not comfortable with it.

Antagonist alkaloids increase with dosage in the direct proportion to agonist alkaloids. With the latter, there is the tolerance formation which counteracts its effectiveness. At the same time, nothing impedes the effectiveness of opioid ANTAGONISTS in the plant, and as the dosage increases, so do the the effects of those antagonists while the agonism is blocked by ever increasing tolerance. What?

Please, try lowering your dosage, you will get a lot more mileage out of it.
How about trying 6 grams? How good is your Kratom anyways?

There you go again. Another thought provoking interesting concept .. Stress Test huh? :P

Might be useful.. After buying from 20 diff US vendors I've certainly found a few wobbly jittery strains lol  But very few, indeed. Thankfully. Or maybe even more common, kratom that feels potent, but then has a kind of drop-off along with anxiety or uptight feelings...

Some say that's a classic Maeng Da vibe ? Or.. maybe that's unbalanced? This is a term that sounds logical, but seems to have no definition or remedy. How does a leaf get Unbalanced, in the first place. Is there anything a consumer can do, to "balance" their kratom then?

Maybe I'm lucky with stuff I've purchased over the past couple years ? Have noticed very few episodes of eye wobbles or serious dizzy weird feeling... Of course, I've tried to be careful and picky on what I buy. Whether it's BB, STH, Soul, DG, RVA, Kats, KOG, Liza, Okie, SoCal, THB, and many others.. There's a lot of good kratom out there. :geek:

Well, if you're here, then your kratom is obviously good. I mean, who is better than the Soultanic (no one)?

What I meant to say is that proper kratom does not need doses that high, there is a therapeutic range.

Maybe, at least give a lower dose a try, like 6 grams. I too was close to 10 grams at some point, and its benefits were actually reduced!

 Soultanic's New - Batch 08/04/19

Green Saka - 9/10
Phenomenal Burn
Well being enhancement is Spot On!
Stress relief is beautiful and a perfect way to start my weekend.
Clarity, Balance, Balance and more Smooooth Balance!

This is Very very good. A new personal favorite in my book, I’m pleased and impressed.

Grind is good and color is good
Smell and Taste is good
( these 4 aspects don’t stand out for me ) but definitely Not bad or anything like that!

I would say Mid-Spec level and absolutely amazed at how well this Strain/ Batch balances itself out.

New batch of soul- green ketapang - 8/04/19
Very energetic and euphoric burn. 8.5/10 possibly 9/10. A very good green. For extra points, it blends perfectly with dark green pinoh for a definite 9/10 burn! :D

Edit: super long legs on this one. Definitely one of the most potent varieties I have sampled this year!

White Pinoh - Batch 08/04/19
Rating - 8/mid-fast
Excellent mood lift and smooth energy but is not a fast strain. I would describe it more as a mid-spec that leans slightly to the fast side but is still a mid-spec

This is beautiful leaf on its own but also blends well with slower greens and reds to take them up a notch adding some motivation and mood lift while still maintaining that laid-back relaxing experience.

Finely ground and a beautiful "olive" green color. This is definitely a "must try" if you like the slower whites and the mood lift that they bring.

Ideal for: anxiety and depression.

It’s strange, I did not end up getting the White Pinoh this time around.
I haven't had much luck with it a few months back for some reason and I had tried it numerous times too!
I will try it just plain ol’ WP!noh again in a week + from now and see how it is.

I know ppl loved the White Pinoh when I got it also, I think that was Batch June ‘19

I recall BallzDeep-eroo said he liked it and so did BrandonAllen on here !*
I know it is Quality leaf no doubts about that just found it odd I didn’t get to experience some White Pinoh lovin’

Green Bunet - Batch 08/04/19
Overall Rating - 8.5/FAST
Energy with excellent mood lift! I am placing it in the fast category but I can see how some may find it to lean a bit more towards the middle of the spectrum. 4g hit me in about 30 mins and had me up and active around the house and focused on getting some things done. I've experienced a few faster strains but none of the faster were quite as pleasant as the G. Bunet. I personally enjoy fast strains to a point then they can create anxiety and jiteryness. This strain exibitied no jiteryness nor anxiety Energy Rating - 8/10

I am not absolutely sure but I've read that the Bunet strain is a blend of green and white. It has a slight Maeng Da Feel to it so I tend to agree that it is a blend of some type. However, the feel is smoother than a typical good quality Maeng Da in my experience. Mood Lift Rating - 9/10

Finely ground ans a fresh medium green color. This is definitely a "must try" if you like faster Maeng Das and greens.

Ideal for: depression to combat lethargy

I got a sample of the white Pinoh in my last order from Soul. I'd say it's a solid mid spec white. Good mood lift, some pain relief, and very smooth with a little clean stimulation but not too fast. I don't much care for fast whites but I've really enjoyed adding it to some of my blends.

I have their Wild Green Kapuas, very potent and FAST, good leaf. The White Pinoh is nice and smooth and mid spec, got a sample of it also. Pretty much all of Soultanic fare is true fire! Their Whites tend to be slower than their Greens, that White Turtle is some smooth White! Of course, a White strain is best blended, but Soul's stand on their own, getting more of those myself this weekend even though I am drowning in Kratom!

I ordered the Red Vein 2 but received the Red Bali by accident. The Red Bali is outstanding! Adding it to my best reds collection along with the STH's Wild Red Borneo.

It shouldn't, in fact there should be even more selection come this weekend. I will personally inform you once the shop goes live! (if I don't fall asleep).
