First time with Botanical Bunny

Post by BrettyJ »

I have never ordered from Botanical Bunny and these strains are new to me as well. I have red banjar, yellow Borneo and plantation 12 coming today. If anyone has any details on what to expect with these strains (or botanical Bunny in general) I would appreciate it. They had a chocolate strain I almost got too but honestly I have no idea what chocolate Kratom even is, maybe a variation of a red?
P.S. this is my first post here, I've been searching for a good website since Reddit went to shit. Glad to be here!

I've only had one batch (mid January) but the red banjar for me is all low end. It tastes fermented and the powder is very dark colored. It's good for pain and not super potent, I'd say it's around low to mid in the potency range. People that get sleepy from slow reds (not me lol) would probably think it's fairly sedating. Mixing it with a white or a fast green is a great way to balance it out if you don't want all low end or if you want to slow down or add pain relief to a faster strain. I haven't had the others you got.

Edit: welcome to double m!

Plantation 12 is a slow, euphoric green. It won't make you sleepy but it won't ramp you up either. I love it.

Awesome. Slow strains are my jam for the most part. I can burn them throughout the day and still work. The more analgesia the better.

You got the exact same order that I made last time!
Mine was from April.

Agree with plantation 12 being slow and euphoric.
Yellow borneo was more mild, but great for adding mood lift and energy to a green, or balance out a white.
Red banjar was a pretty even red, not sedating but physically relaxing, works for day or night.
Try different blends, they all go good together. BB get an A+ for customer service too.

Since we all got banned on reddit - Did you know, all the Reviews from past 2 years are still there ??

I never put much stock in 1 person's review, but when a dozen or more people rave about something, its probably valid. Use the Search Bar on reddit! For example: Red Banjar

Reading those comments about Red Banjar "My Favorite Red" and "Best red on the market" on and on. Its really sad what happened on reddit, but thankfully - All that history is still there. Search on Botanical Bunny and it's nothing but high praise for their kratom, selection and service.

@BallzDeep9 actually no I didn't know that. I just assumed they wiped it clean. I'll check that out thanks. I just got my order so I guess I'lll see for myself now. They forgot my Yellow Borneo though.. I'm sure they'll rectify it though.

Is the current red banjar batch as good as the earlier ones that got great reviews is the $100 dollar question.

BB is pretty good. I won't get into exactly how much I take because everyone has their own sweet spot but it was almost comparable to my usual vendor at half the price. I'm not much of a Kratom reviewer but that said, the red banjar and plantation 12 we're both on the slower side, the plantation is a little less sedating. They both helped with my pain. I'm still waiting for the yellow Borneo which was left out of my order and unfortunately he won't be back to ship it until Monday.

Look a little closer -- those are all results from r/kratom that were not deleted and are still accessible via link, and none from either sub that were manually removed to avoid the ban.

When we had to go through and start ninja deleting posts back in March, we were limited by how far back the browser would load the sub history. Because we have far fewer posts than the main sub, we ended up deleting farther back than they did.

Which worked out well, because there is more recent history still available!

Great catch, Ballz!

I've ordered the Red Banjur from BB in February after reading all the very positive reviews on Reddit and found it didnt line up with my expectations. Of course its all personal and this leaf is so paradoxically hard to generalize about but I expected more mood lift/euphoria and overall strength. More in line with as happy Red Borneo or something like Mystic"s Vampire I really think it must have been the batch, I found its effects too subtle even when I upped the dose. I now blend it with whites and greens and it contributes to more of a full spectrum burn. Im a strong believer in seasonal weakness and I attribute the discrepancy between the reviews and my experience to that. I'm always reminded that every batch is different and our experience is necessarily dependent on our own brain chemistry and body. I've relatively limited resources so this time of year I really go through a lot of sample packs from different vendors and usually miss the boat as batches change. I'm still looking looking for that euphoric leaf to stock up on because I fear the day will come when big pharma wipes us out, Just a matter of time. In an ideal world wed be able to specify the alkaloid profile of every batch and make an informed decision. But now we depend too much on luck and timing. But keep the reviews coming!

Welcome, Swablero and Wkfg! :D

I have the BB Plantation Lot 12, and it is definitely a stand up, reliable, effective strain for me. I had heard a lot about Red Banjar and had been meaning to try some, but never quite got around to it and the newer reports aren't as glowing as the ones from last fall and winter, so it may well be a batch difference as you say. Ah, well. There'll be another great one around the corner to take its place -- at least that's the way I like to think of it.

yes as kratom became more popular, over last 18 months, it's gotten to the point where "samples" don't work. On Reddit anyway, as soon as a few rave reviews came in... those vendors/ strains got completely Sold Out within a matter of hours. I think Acadica's last big re-stock he announced Green & Red Nanga Pinoh and his entire stock was gone in 24 hours.

Top quality is smaller batches, and there's been too many people now, lurkers, waiting to jump.. Should be interesting, now that useful "reviews" are gone because Reddit is gone. Also, Credit Card ordering is gone at least for most vendors. MeWe doesn't really work for reviews it seems. Chat Rooms are full of vendor advertising so we'll see what happens this summer.

I hope Botanical Bunny gets back on track, I haven't heard anything from him lately. Seems like a few vendors are on vacation.

Welcome!!
I am waiting on an order of PMD and Plantation but I believe the vendor is KratomCrumbs and everything I've ever received from them has been stellar! I can for sure say that Wild Green is some of my all time fav. leaf! It's moderate to moderately slow super euphoric happy feel fabulous green kratom!
I also highly recommend the White Bentuangie! It literally corrects any over stimulating kratom that happens to cross my path without sedating me. It does however def relax me, but I am able to remain attentive and focused!
Hope this helps at least a 'lil!

I just placed my first order with them for 100g of some Chocolate JongKong. Read about it on here and decided to give them a try. If it's good it'll go into my vendors list. I'll be sure to let you know if I like it or not!
