Man, so I had tried STH a while back and didn't really think much of it good or bad, I think I just grabbed a couple random unpopular strains and based my opinion off that. Something sparked my interest lately and I began ordering from them. After making a pretty fair size order, I can say that they are now in my top 3 vendor rotation! Nothing I ordered was a dud, while it was all 10/10, it was all at least a 7.5, it all hit in its own way.

Pure Red Glow 8.5/10
Incredibly relaxing , sedating at higher amounts but at small or medium doses you can stay awake and play video games just fine.
I don't take kratom for paint but my bet would be thats what this is for

MD Thai 9/10
Good morning strain, energetic and moodlifting, I mix this strain with the Silver Smile for an incredibly happy lift.

Same as MD Thai, this is a green/white blend as well and on its own is a little more of a mood lift than the MD Thai but really you gotta mix them it's fantastic.

White banjo 10/10
Saw a recommendation for this a week ago or so and luckily I ordered a bigger bag of it, it's incredibly energetic with big mood boost. I literally have to stop myself from taking it every time. Rotation is key. I haven't mixed it with anything but I bet it'd be great with a green or a calmer white.

Holy hell this is my new favorite red. Unlike it so much that I put in another order for it, paid for that order, then said "no that's not enough" and put in a third order for it. (I of course let STH know so he could put it all in the same bag and not have to pay shipping twice) but my God it's about as good as TFHs 30yr red Hulu. You get a calming relaxing that sinks you into your bed, and about 35-45 minutes in after it comes on, it gives you a huge nod. I pass out every time. I usually take red glow before this one to give me some time to watch TV and stuff but this red Thai is my favorite for sure.

I also have a few others I got that I need to try a couple more times but my first impressions were that they were in the 7.5-8 range. White nano is a little slower of a white, couldn't get a read on prem white Thai but it felt a little slower I think, too. Green super 3 is a slower green and green monster is a mid. Actually I bet green monster would be great with white banjo.

Ontop of all this the guy who runs STH is incredibly cool and has great customer service. It's always a pleasure exchanging emails with him.

TLDR: if you're ordering from STH you can't skip the white banjo, MD Thai, silver smile, and for the love of God do not skip prem red Thai

Yep- Smiley’s White Banjo has been awesome since he added it to the menu. Only 1 White Banjo I think was better was Johnson’s 10/18 Banjo. K-OG had the original (or at least the first one I ever saw), but I never tried Harry’s.
I’ve got 2 different batches of Smiley’s from last year - I guess I need to order the latest to see how it compares.

I received the smiley time super green Malay recently through Benni botanicals and I was impressed with it! It’s my favorite one I have right now. Made me chatty with my Lyft driver and it kept going even after I had dinner. I used about 3-4g of it after work and after walking into Walmart it kicked in and I felt that which is great since I’ve not been feeling things kick in lately! Frustrating! Anyways I really enjoyed the strain! Good stuff!

which vendors have you found that work for your chemistry? dont hestitate to experiment with dose size (either more or less) and remember that some things just dont work for certain people. sorry for your troubles with that strain, and i hope the red thai makes you feel as nice as it made me.

I've had 4 or 5 Smiley's strains through a couple of big mix-n-match Benni's orders. None of it really stood out to me as being superior, but it was all good+ kratom, so I'd definitely recommend it if you haven't tried it. Who knows, it might just work great for someone else, and well, it sounds like it did for the person who started this thread ha-ha.

Nice review. I prefer greens, recently dug into some Premo Green Thai, late 2018 vintage (I bought a couple of his original Thai batches)... Man! Still fire!! Smiley does get top quality batches for sure.. his White Banjo same way. Thanks to your review, we know what is good currently.

Not sure why Smiley's leaf isn't hitting for me. I'm coming off a 3 month tolerance break and have only been back taking Kratom again for a week or so. It's probably me and not the leaf, although I have other that works well. I'm on a lot of medication so it's hard to say. I'm gonna give it a day or two and try lowering my dose a bit from my normal 5 grams. With all the good reviews it has to be something on my end.

5 grams ?!!??!? Less is more my friend. Anything over 3.5 of his leaf doesn’t do anything for me either. I used to be a 6-8 gram dose person for YEARS until I discovered the less is more magic. I scoffed at it originally because from 8 I tried 5 or 4 gram doses and nothing. Tried 3 grams of some leaf I knew was good on a whim one day and BAM. Haven’t gone back to even 4 gram doses since. Most of the TFH I’ve had anything over just 1.5 doesn’t do anything for me. Thanks to Ballz recommendation I’ve stuck to a stringent 10 gram per day limit. 2 grams is the max dose I take of ANY strain regardless of vendor. At first it’s a huge mental hurdle to get past but there’s a amazing new world of kratom when you go to less is more. I’m sure some people know the science behind it but the large 4-5 gram doses I’m guessing that your body isn’t as proficient at processing it like a 1.5-2 gram dose

I've done low dose, high dose and everything in between. I've been taking Kratom for 6 years and found 5 grams works best for me. I listened to all the less is more people and did 3 to 3.5 grams for a while but it just doesn't cut it for me. I do two doses daily so it's only ten grams.

With that being said I'm definitely not afraid to adjust my dose if a batch isn't working for me. I tried Smileys PGMD at 3,4, and 5 gram doses and felt nothing. The Premium Red Thai I tried once at 5 grams. About 30 minutes in I started having some good relaxation and then it just quit on me. I don't know about the PGMD but the Red Thai gets great reviews here. I'm not too concerned about it, I put them in the back of the cabinet to revisit later.

If a batch on its own is very good just do that batch 4 grams... make 6 grams in a glass bottle, with honey, sugars and half milk. shake it very well. and every break drink a little bit , most get 2 breaks and one lunch? split the drink 3 ways... never failed and always super duper feel. And it always ends up under 10 grams per day. Some days offs, only 4 grams, if got second day off do 2 grams per day. it helps reset tolerance like crazy and you barley or not have wds at all.. the art of mastering is priceless. When you do start going back to work, you can do 3 grams right away and 4 grams in bottle. You will end up 7 grams per day , you can increase again to 4 grams start and 6 grams in bottle after some days. Also medications are known to block kratom effects, i highly advice figure out which meds are blocking the feel.

Thanks for the reply. Right now I have zero tolerance issues. I had an involuntary tolerance break of nearly four months. I was in an accident in February. Long story short I spent 3 months in the hospital and rehab facility. I am on quite a few meds still. I take multiple meds every 6 hours. I try to time my doses halfway in between. I'm quite sure it's the medications making Kratom hit or miss for me so I can't blame the vendor. I've got an order in with TFH so we'll see how that goes.

All good advice! yes its all about managing those receptors.. keeping sensitive to the alkaloids. Not overwhelming receptors -> building tolerance -> no longer feeling the alkaloids! To keep it fresh, need some 2-gram days.. hard to go cold turkey, but I do Agmatine cycle for one week at night. Along with taper down. After 1 week of low-dose 2-3 gpd, receptors have been upregulated.. then a 4 gram dose, feels fantastic! However, keep doing 10 gpd -> you're right back to tolerance and kratom "not working" again.. This IS the problem.. nothing wrong with STH! vendor don't matter as much as 90% of people abusing the leaf and blowing out receptors in their brain.

Guess you missed the point where I said I just had about a 4 month tolerance break and have only been taking Kratom again for 2 weeks.

Been taking Kratom for 6 years and tried the less is more thing many times. We are not all the same. For me less is less. But please go on with telling people how to dose and assuming they are "abusing" Kratom. We need lots more of that.

I like everything I've got from Smiley, about 15 different varieties but it's not unheard of that a popular one doesn't seem to register for someone.

I'ts happened to me several times. They have eventually worked out- usually a week later or less, even very strong product that hit a note that I was't expecting (a very low note that was too much the first time it worked).

A common factor is that I was anticipating greatness. Another one may have been I was fighting off a bug and once was right before an allergy attack triggered. Nada- no perceived effect. No problem a week later. Then the random white or yellow that loves company- unreliable used alone but distinct with contrast.

There are a few potential reasons though. it usually works out but it's a trip when it's not dialing in or there are multiple items not dancing with you from one vendor but for me personally- it's definitely happened.

The title of this thread is funny. Ironically for me atleast. Because out of 10+ strains I tried of STH not one strains stood out, to me they seemed like regular strains or way below average. This was well over a year ago, and haven’t dared to order again.

Smiley Time is the only place I order bulk in anymore. Incredibly easy platform with options and great product. I agree on Red Thai, awesome. Baik Bali has been one I've ordered 3 orders in a row and I like their red bali sometimes too, but has been hit or miss lately. Red Glow for some reason isn't working as well for me but maybe I'll try again after a little break. Going to order some more today.

Smiley Time sells good product and offers great service. The challenge can be finding the right batch. This is very similar to all of the other vendors that offer 70+ different strains (liza's, KOG, etc. etc.). You will eventually come accross a great batch for yourself and then its time to buy bulk but until then, its a gamble. This is nothing new.

I've started just testing 28g samples from STH before going in for more. Lately the Thai MD, Baik Bali and White Glow have really hit for me. Others like the white Monster, Red Glow, White Thai and White Nano did very little for me. However, someone must like them out there as most of them have purchase limits on them.

If you go in blind ot take a review too seriously from someone who has only tried a batch once or twice, you'll end up with a lot of average or slightly above average kratom unless you get lucky. This has hapoened to me in the past with several vendors. Its "shame on me" for believing hype or getting impulsive.

Just my experience. Smiley still offers world class service and will entertain exchanges within reason. If it isn't working for you, hit em up. At the very least, they need to know of the stuff is avg ot sub-par to some people before they can correct it.

Smiley was once my favorite vendor hands down. Customer service is unparalleled but the strains he had this time last year were the best batches I’ve ever had. Easily. But the start of this year as he gained notoriety it seems like the quality dropped off a cliff. I am diligent about my tolerance being in check and I took several long breaks from his products but ordered 6 different strains a week ago or so and almost all were underwhelming at best. Sad because that PMD from August-October last year is by far best strain I’ve ever had. By FAR. God I hope he figures out what his vendors are doing differently and gets back to the STH that last year was cranking out top shelf kratom
