Hey Double-M Community!

[Very slight TLDR but I ask you to bare with me for a minute!]

So we've been slowly spreading the word through the niches about our papes and have gotten some great feedback! We really do appreciate everyone here and their support.

Some of you may know that we've started selling Blate Papes on Amazon too. Since then, all of our reviews have been 5-stars, with one 4. But just a week and a half ago (right before Christmas sales), we received an onslaught of consecutive 1-star and 3-star ratings in a couple days time. (When I say onslaught, that's relative to the amount of reviews we have being a new product, which is 16) We received a total of three 1-star ratings and two 3-star ratings.

As most know, star ratings mean everything to a buyer these days. But in order to negate a 1-star rating back up to a 4-star average, it requires three new 5-star ratings or reviews. And in order to negate just one 1-star rating back up to a 4.5, it takes 7 new reviews!

Considering it takes somewhere in the range of 50-200 orders on average to get one review, this quickly brought our 5 to 4.5-star rating down to 3.5-stars.
Typically we would rapidly absorb the negative feedback and attempt to correct any issues with our product or customer service, but these quick and consecutive ratings have no comments at all. In fact, Amazon's new system absolves any purchaser of leaving an actual review of a product. A 1 to 5 star "click-to-rate" is all that's necessary if preferred; meaning no explanation or feedback to learn from. I personally couldn't imagine leaving a 1-star rating without at least a comment as to why. That is the point of a review or rating! But this has left open the door for even greater review fraud, and thus very suspiciously convenient (at least for our Japanese competitors) ratings for our hard pack, which was awarded the "#1 New Product" in Edible Printer Ink and Paper by Amazon.

SO, in light of the joyous spirit of Christmas, we decided to have a giveaway for 10 of our new packs! With this, we are asking each recipient post a short, honest review on Amazon. Nothing long, just a simple comment or two and perhaps a picture of the product. This requires one to have an Amazon account, but not necessarily make a purchase. Of course if preferred, you may purchase them from Amazon and we will gladly reimburse you after doing so. Or, we can send out a code for you to zero-out the cost on our site's checkout.

Merry Mutha-F Christmas guys!! I was won of the winners when you initially launched your papers on here and tried them(and left a review here) and it really sucks about Amazon. I think you’re company is really forward thinking and has a spectacular attitude!! I also respect how you handled the thread situation with Churchofthought ass-wiper too because I wouldn’t have been so classy!! LOL

I think blate papes are a cool product/idea that I know you’ve put A LOT of work and effort and resources into. It’s not easy getting a company to fruition in these times and then for fake ass people to shit all over it is downright mean. Anyway since I’ve tried them myself AND I have an Amazon account I’ll head over there and give a 5 star rating. If you read my review here you know I wasn’t a disc user prior to winning but I’ll try anything once. They just aren’t my cup of tea personally but I know for many leaf users they are and I wanna support that.

So, Merry Christmas and good luck with this rating game on Amazon guys!!!! Keep doing what you’re doing

I can't tell you how much we appreciate it! And hey, it's totally cool for you to get in on this one too! You we're the first to post! In the beginning its really all about the reviews. Brand awareness is hard to come by and that's a huge influence on people choosing to give a product a try. But not only that, it gives us the ability to learn what our customer wants. Sometimes there's nothing we could have done to predict a problem or issue that a customer might have, making that information invaluable. Family and friends routinely hold back criticisms too, which can make perfecting a product difficult. Truth may sting for a moment but it's the only way to grow.

And personally, when I search for anything on Amazon, I filter using only 4 star or higher listings with shipping within 1-2 days.. or even just the same day/next day if it's available.

Of course now that we've learned how manufactured reviews can be, or even how sellers commonly downrate their competitors to help their marketshare, I'm no longer so quick to judge using a star rating and I've been spotting them everywhere while Christmas shopping.

I have to say that I am a very happy customer. The papes work great for me. Easier than filling capsules and a better result once ingested. The customer service is also excellent. I sent an email to the address on the Blate Papes website when my order was running late and heard back that same morning. The reply email from Harrison was very apologetic, contained a screenshot showing that USPS seems to have lost/misplaced the order and, for the inconvenience, they shipped double my original order and a hard case that day.
So I am happy to recommend the product and have submitted a glowing review on Amazon.

We were just discussing the other day that the first thing we learn as children is to "treat others as we'd like to be treated." So that's what we do. And we actually use Blate Papes everyday ourselves, so we really do believe in them.

Hey I’m sorry I’m so late to the thread. That’s really crummy for someone to try and ruin your Amazon rating. You have a great product with excellent customer service. My experience with this company has been entirely positive. I’m getting ready to order another package from you. Your papers are nice and thick, don’t stick together, and are opaque which I really appreciate ! I also feel that the packaging is thoughtfully designed to help protect the product from moisture and dirt, thereby preserving your unused papers. I haven’t bought any other papers since trying these and probably never will. They are an excellent value dollar wise as well. Thanks for a great product Blate Papes

You guys took a simple product and with a little change, turned it into something genius.

Easily holds 6g as opposed to 2g in the Japanese kites or discs.

Slightly thicker than the other oblates, these are tear-resistant.

Notice the price is a deal too, they are cheaper than the other oblates!
