Just tried the free samples from Herba Rosa

Hello All,

I received my free samples from Herba Rosa yesterday. The samples are 30g each of Green, Red and White Maeng Da. I tried the Green MD yesterday morning and was pleasantly surprised. Nice fresh green color and fresh/fruity smell. Kicked in after about 15 minutes and had a nice smooth euphoric body feel. Long legs and nice, gentle landing. Energetic feel but not too much bump. I tried the Red MD last night and it also kicked in after about 15 minutes. Definitely slower and nice and calming- more sedating than the Green as to be expected. I'm not a white fan but was happy to give the White MD a shot yesterday afternoon. Energetic and maybe a tad buzzy but not in a bad way. The white was effective and probably will appeal to people who like whites- that's about all can say about that one. From what I've read on their website, Herba Rosa reports to be a vendor of premium product- not a small batch vendor (correction). I enjoyed the Red and Green MDs and would say the leaf is of good quality. Will I reorder? Yes, I'll probably pick up a larger bag of the GMD to help support HR as a new vendor and again, I really enjoyed the green. Good products and they seem like good people. Give them a try! Great, as I expected, everyone who got a free sample, will be pleasantly surprised... Only, this vendor is NOT "small batch" they buy from a Wholesale Distributor... as they have explained here since joining MM. Doesn't mean the kratom is bad, at all! In fact Good Average Kratom is probably, what 80% of the stuff sold out there ? from 200+ vendors most of who, buy and re-sell wholesale Bulk too.

I come from wine country. You would do really well writing "copy" for wine industry marketing materials.
Same would apply to the cannabis industry. Both are huge here in Sonoma County.

To clarify on the "small batch" discussion, each strain of Maeng Da I offer is a blend of small batches.
To my knowledge, Maeng Da's are always blended from multiple batches. That's how they do them in Indonesia.
So, to be clear, Herba Rosa IS small batch kratom, but the Maeng Da is a blend.
But blended here in America, with much safer, cleaner conditions.

All in all, I wouldn't personally use Blue Lotus as a substitute for kratom's incredible pain relief qualities. Blue Lotus has great effects, like enhancing libido and lucid dreams, but it's best use is as part of a reset kit when taking a break from kratom.

This stuff isn't the same dreaded "distro" kratom that has gained such a bad reputation. The "distributor" in this case is just a middle-man btn the farmers and myself. They negotiate on my behalf and manage the customs side of things.
Their leverage let's them guarantee me a high standard and high level of consistency in quality and safety over time. In return, I pay more per kilo to my supplier than most vendors.

People respond differently to the unique combinations of alkaloids in each batch. What works better for some people might work less well for others.

I hope my business does grow, but these economic conditions are tough, and I don't have a lot of cash on hand to invest in expansion at this time.

I hate any, and all social media but it is a necessary evil at this point. I’m only 24 but I guess I’m an old soul. All the power for you for realizing it’s use, and putting to work for yourself but I still go by drug dealer logic. Good drugs sell themselves with almost little to no promotion. Yes kratom is a drug albeit a mild, and almost harmless one. I got your sample, and I thank you. I have yet to try it but you shall get a honest review from me. Nothing more, and nothing less. Yeah word of mouth is a great thing. I agree. I'm getting a lot of help from that too. But I do social media (among other things) because all of my first jobs/internships involved online marketing
and I have years of experience, so I may as well use my strengths.

just got some samples in today. very fast shipping...went out within hours, mailed first class, left Tuesday and landed today (Thursday). so the USPS is also killing it.

the op says that the green maeng da is a green color, but mine looks fermented/sun dried, exactly like the red md. I wonder if the red was put in there by mistake? I haven't seen a fermented green before, other than a "green bent" that one vendor used to sell.

I havent tried them yet, but a couple things:
-i really like the mit% on the back, wish more vendors would do this. I've always wanted to know what the mit% is on the strains that work best for me, as well as the ones that don't work
-the logo on the sticker is awesome. looks kinda like the nuclear symbol, but it's a rose.

the vendor seems like a legitimately cool guy. I'm not into the catboy thing, but it is a conversation starter, for sure.

I don't know how to explain very well, but you could search, there have been threads on this.

you're right, I shouldn't have said fermented. by looks it is like it was dried in the sun for longer than usual, and it's identical to the red md. it's not a bent brown, which is a much deeper hue. I just am not used to seeing greens that look like this, but I look forward to trying it out in the coming days.

I saw one catboy video and decided to go no further. furries and otherkin are just not my thing, but maybe the gen z'ers are more into it. I'm fine with it though, and it wouldn't affect my opinion on the kratom or the business in general...as long as there are no cat hairs in the bag, I'm good.

If you could remind me, did I include all three strains in your sample? If so, it is very unlikely that I mixed up the green and red.
Be aware that the color can sometimes vary to a small degree, since the Maeng Da is a mix of small batches. We try to mix it as evenly as possible, but subtle variances can occur.

And yes, it's sometimes a burden to keep changing the alkaloid percentages on the labels every time test results are updated, but it is a labor of love.

Hahahah! No need to worry about that! No cat's (or animals in general) have ever set foot in the packaging room.

As for the "furry" thing... I am not, nor have I ever been, a furry. I used to make fun of those people and see them as cringe, but I now have more respect for them.
They are just people being themselves and having a good time without hurting anyone. But yeah, don't get me confused for a furry!

I just really enjoy playing the character, and it fits my personality. I tried it out on tiktok and it proved to be a successful way to get attention. People leave comments about it - both bad and good.
Better yet, there seem to be a lot of women who are into it, which is definitely a bonus for me. Seems to attract a lot of goth girls who overlap with the addiction recovery niche.
