Hey Shipping is basically what the post office charges something like 9-10 for a flat rate pack which holds 1.25 kilos or more depending on if cardboard or bubble are available. Bigger orders go to a box, which is like $16 for a medium box. The final checkout is accurate as far as shipping goes when it knows your location. Mike hasn't raised prices since 2018 doesn't call stuff premium. I don't know where the $108 comes from. Yeah, Mike had some illness in his family and took a 5-month break. He's not into getting too big but more interested in developing a small reliable community and sourcing small batch small farmer leaf for a community he's known. But with a 5-month layoff and no real mewe presence, or Reddit Double MM marketing, things are very small scale. Still real good leaf left in the $48 half kilo split. It's not like it used to be, where he sells out in 10 minutes. The world has changed dramatically since he was the first mewe vendor. This drop was Money Order preferred. But it was a case by case thing. Regular customers don't mind at all. It's all very laid back. $48 a premium half kilo is an incredible deal for this leaf. So I'm just responding cause there has been a misleading characterization here in my opinion. Not to get into a debate. It doesn't matter. There are plenty of good vendors out there. And you cant beat the Mr. Smileys of the world. But there's nothing wrong with the shipping charges, like this poster states.

just wanted to chime in and say, for people that have never paid with money orders...it's really not that bad. I was always hesitant to do it, but with vendors losing their payment app accounts left and right, sometimes it's just simpler to do a money order rather than having to find the right app out of the many, many payment apps. I can list like 6 I have accounts for right now, but that's still not always enough.

it takes a few extra days, that's the only real downside. I've never had a money order lost in the mail.

and i'm not sure if this vendor does it, but with some vendors if you're already established, you can fill out a money order with their name, then send them a picture of it and an addressed stamped envelope before you drop it in the mail, so they know it's ok to ship. cuts down on turnaround time, it's not much different than the time it takes to use a payment app. I'm not aware of a way of getting your money back after the money order is filled out, but maybe there is, so not all vendors would do that.

I think the USPS has, along with a Rate hike - dropped the Legal Size Priority Bubble pack - which is a bummer, since many vendors used these for Kilos.. I have family in USPS, believe me, nobody is happy since Dirty Rump put "Louie DeJoy" in charge - His attempt to screw-up Mail voting along with everything else. As you mention the BIG $ raise, was for Medium size, Flat Rate Box, but even Priority Mail your own box... suddenly that old $7 cost for shipping 1 Kilo - has about doubled.

Yep Mike was the original Mewe vendor, or 1 of the first... Smiley was there, for about a year 2018 before he pulled off Mewe completely. Anyone who wants a true "Small Batch" honest vendor should do the Money Order. No big deal... It's all about "connections" and Soultanic has a long good history with Indo sources, he's getting their best Leaf.

where is this rate hike you're seeing? I looked up the price for the bubble mailer, which is also called the padded flat rate envelope (doesn't need to be legal size to fit a kilo, even up to 1.25kilo fits comfortably, but even then the legal size is still the same price), and the price is still about the same - between $8-$10.

the medium box is closer to the price you're describing though.

there were reports earlier this year that the padded flat rate envelope was being discontinued because stock ran out, but the rumors weren't true, and they still carry these items.
I'm very anti-deJoy, so I'm not trying to defend him in any way, but I have not noticed the price increase you're describing.
